The aim of this study was to identify some personality variables such as , irrational beliefs, depression, death anxiety, and self-esteem among male and female adolescents. The sample of the study consisted of 50 males and 50 females who were selected purposefully from the final level of the basic stage and secondary school students at their middle adolescence (ages 14-18 years) In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the irrational beliefs test (IBT), beck depression inventory (BDI), death anxiety scale (DAS), and self-esteem scale (SES) after ascertaining the validity and reliability of these scales. To answer the hypotheses of the study, the following scales were used: means and standard derivations, person?s relational correlation, and T-test. The results of the study revealed: - Female students were greater in terms of adapting irrational beliefs compared to male students. - Both female and male students were evenly divided in terms of depression. - Females were greater than males in their feeling of death anxiety. - Females and males were evenly divided in their self-esteem. - There was a relationship between irrational beliefs, depression and death anxiety. - There was no relationship between irrational beliefs and depression and death anxiety and self-esteem
