The reality of creativity in the Jordanian school from an educational perspective
This study aimed at identifying the reality of creativity in the Jordanian school from an educational point of view, and at exploring the effect of gender, scientific qualification, and experience in such reality. In order to achieve this aim, 400 Arabic Language teachers were chosen. A questionnaire was developed with the skills of creativity in the domains of authenticity, fluency, flexibility, expansion, and sensitivity to problems. The results revealed that the reality of creativity in the Jordanian school came at a medium level, in all domains in general, and in each domain in specific. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the reality of creativity due to the scientific qualification in favor of teachers (females and males) with the higher degree. The results showed also that there were statistically significant differences in the reality of creativity due to the experience variable in favor of teachers with experience (10) years and above. Contrary to that, the results showed there were no statistically significant differences in the reality of creativity due to the gender variable.
