The Degree of Practicing the Arabic Language Teachers their Professional Roles in Light of the New Performance Standards Requirements in the United Arab Emirates
This study aimed to identify the degree teachers of the Arabic Language practice their professional roles in light of the new performance standards requirements set by Abu Dhabi Education Council in the United Arab Emirates. The study sample consisted of (27) school principals, (9) academic supervisors, and (25) heads of departments of Arabic Language at the schools in Al Ain City in the academic year 2015/2016. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers developed a measurement instrument for the modern professional roles required to Arabic Language teachers consisted of (53) items distributed to five domains. After reliability and validity of the instrument had been confirmed, it was conducted on the study sample. The results of the study revealed that the degree teachers of the Arabic Language practice their professional roles in light of the new performance standards requirements was moderate. The results also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree teachers of the Arabic Language practice their professional roles in light of the new performance standards requirements due to the variable of sex.
