Social Realism and its Impact on the Arabic Novel: Areading of Selected Models: A Reading of Examples
This research sheds light on an important historical era in the history of Arab novelist development in terms of form and intellectual content. It is the stage in which the Arabic novel was influenced by global social realism when it seeped into Arabic literature, as novelists began to express society and its concerns based on the philosophical perspectives of this philosophical intellectual current. In their novels. The research relied on the descriptive and inductive method, using the historical method. To narrate the phenomenon, then trace it, and then describe it, the two researchers discussed the roots of realism in the Arabic novel, and explained its importance in developing the novel and advancing it as a new human art worthy of attention, since the novel is an important theater for presenting reality and portraying it in the best way. The research was divided into an introduction, two sections, and a conclusion. The introduction included the study questions, the method used in the analysis and presentation of previous studies, and a talk about the importance of the study. The first section dealt with the theoretical aspect, as the two researchers went over the definition of realism and its origins. As for the second section, it talked about realism in the novel. The main question is: What did neo-realism add to the Arabic novel? The research ended with a conclusion containing the results. The most important of these results is that realism as a philosophical doctrine opened the eyes of writers to society, so they approached its problems, discussed them, and expressed the pulse of the people.
