A study was done of the origin and development of Arabic relative pronoun (?alladi ) by
examination of internal structure of the pronoun including its phonetic and
morphological elements, and by searching in other Semitic languages for phonetic
elements common to relative pronoun and demonstrative pronoun in Arabic and other
Semitic languages .A study was also done of Arabic dialects , including both standard
Arabic and colloquial ,and what has been recorded on relative pronouns by Arabic old
grammarians and Orientalists.
The researcher has discussed the views of Arab grammarians and the views of the
Orientalists and concluded that the Orientalists is not different from what Arabic old
grammarians said. He concluded by the end of the study to be linked (?alladi ) over
three stages to be settled in the Arabic eloquent picture that is by having been linked
exclusion ( du ) that appears in the (?ay?)dialect.
