Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II Faculty of Information Technology Organizes a Cybersecurity Competition (Capture The Flag - CTF) at Al al-Bayt University

In line with the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, may God protect him, and stemming from his great interest in supporting the information technology sector—particularly in the field of cybersecurity and encouraging youth engagement— and under the continuous guidance of Prof. Osama Naser, President of Al al-Bayt University, the Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II Faculty of Information Technology organized an in-person competition for students of the Cybersecurity major and other interested students, titled Capture The Flag (CTF), held in the faculty’s laboratories at the Imam Muslim Building on campus.

The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Mohammad Jaradat, explained that this competition, supervised by several faculty members, aimed to enhance cybersecurity awareness, improve students’ practical knowledge, and create a stimulating competitive environment among Jordanian universities. He added that it also seeks to position the university within the scope of future competitions, thereby strengthening the faculty’s academic standing, fostering a spirit of positive competitiveness among students, and developing the organizers’ experience in preparing such events in the future.
