Under the Patronage of the University President: Introductory Meeting for Students of the Prince Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II Faculty of Information Technology
The President of Al al-Bayt University, Professor Osama Nuseir, sponsored the events of the introductory meeting for the students of the Prince Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II Faculty of Information Technology, organized by the faculty in cooperation with the IEEE Computer Society team at Al al-Bayt University. The event was attended by the Vice President of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions, Professor Saad Bani Mohammed.
Mustafa Al-Khawaldeh, the Coordinator of the Crown Prince Foundation in Mafraq Governorate, provided an introduction to the foundation, its objectives, and its activities that support youth, as well as the training and volunteering opportunities it offers to participants.
Engineer Shorouq Awad, the Head of the Training Department at Al-Raja International Company, introduced the field of Information Technology, its branches, and its contributions to various life sectors. Engineer Ammar Jaber spoke about the history of computer science, its origins, and the fields of programming and algorithms.
Tariq Al-Amoush, Head of the Business Incubators Division at the University's Center of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, reviewed the services and training opportunities provided by the center to university students, especially those in Information Technology, as well as offering students the chance to participate in national and international competitions.
Student Ahmed Al-Qaisi gave an introduction to data science and artificial intelligence, along with its practical applications, while engineer Mohammed Al-Khuraisha discussed cybersecurity and its fields and applications in various company specializations. Engineer Bushra Hassain addressed information management systems and their role in providing innovative marketing solutions. Meanwhile, Dr. Mohammed Al-Koufahi, Director of the University's Computer Center, explained the university's systems and regulations, as well as methods of self-learning.
The Dean of the Prince Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II Faculty of Information Technology, Professor Mohammed Jaradat, stated that the purpose of this meeting was to introduce new students to the faculty's specializations and to broaden their understanding of the academic and professional opportunities available. He emphasized the importance of active participation in the activities and events organized by the university to enhance the students' practical knowledge and skills.
On the sidelines of the meeting, a student science competition was held, managed by student Mohammed Kreizam, where winners received free training courses from supporting companies.
At the end of the meeting, which was presented by student Maya Al-Hamwi, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Jaradat, distributed certificates of appreciation to the participating organizations, including Step by Step Company, Pioneer Training Academy, SDK Training Center, the Arab Bank, AIESEC, and IEEE CS at AABU. He also honored the event sponsors, namely Canary Food Industries, KITCO Food Industries, and GOOD DAY Company.
