President of the University receives the Cypriot Ambassador

President of the University, Prof. Hani Al-Dmour, received the Cypriot Ambassador in Amman, Mr. Michalis Irano. This comes as part of the university's efforts to activate and strengthen scientific and academic cooperation and the joint coordination mechanism in areas that serve research, scientific and academic work in the two friendly countries: Jordan and the Republic of Cyprus, in accordance with the memoranda of cooperation and mutual understanding signed between the two parties.

Prof. Al-Dmour praised the distinguished relations between Jordan and the friendly Republic of Cyprus, whose foundations were established by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein and His Excellency President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades. He, then, gave a detailed explanation of the ambitious plans of the university's advancement, performance indicators, disciplines, programs, international rankings, and strategic plans of teaching, scientific research and community service. He pointed out that Al al-Bayt University opens its arms for scientific cooperation and cultural and academic exchange, as well as it is ready to extend bridges of cooperation with universities in the Republic of Cyprus to communicate and sign memoranda of understanding and agreements that serve the university and Cypriot universities in all fields. Al-Dmour also welcomed the recruitment of students to study in the university's programs at the bachelor's, higher diploma, master's and doctoral levels.

Michalis Irano, in turn, welcomed this cooperation and emphasized the depth of the historical relationship between the two friendly countries. He also welcomed the establishment of sustainable academic relations in the future between Al al-Bayt University and the Cypriot universities to create a twinning situation between them, by signing joint agreements and memoranda of understanding with the university.

These meetings come within the framework of the university's efforts to network with diplomatic and cultural bodies residing in Jordan. The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Quality and Planning, Prof. Bassam Al Mahasneh, the President's Assistant for International Relations, Dr. Mohammad Al-Shara, Director of Communication and International Marketing, Dr. Atallah Al-Sarhan, and Director of Public Relations and Media, Dr. Reem Al-Zoubi.​​
