Al al-Bayt University electricity bill of June records zero

Al al-Bayt University, through the solar energy project, reduced the electric energy bill to zero, which used to reach approximately 100,000 dinars per month. The University President, Prof. Hani Al-Dmour, said that the development of the solar energy project came to reduce the cost of energy spent by the university in this field, in implementation of the university administration's vision to expand in projects that generate profits for the university.

He added that the project was carried out by the International Company and its German partner, Et Solution, using photovoltaic technology, with a capacity of 3.3 megawatts, and at a cost of 2.6 million dinars, with a grant from the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, on an area of 50 dunums, to cover the entire consumption of electrical energy by the university.

Dr. Omar Al-Zoubi, Director of Energy Projects Department at Al al-Bayt University, pointed out that this achievement is added to the recent achievements of the University, especially since the department has spared no effort in linking all university buildings, even new ones, to the solar energy project which its productivity reached 100%.

It should be noted that the project saved the university an amount of more than one million Jordanian dinars annually.
